Some Sad News

A few weeks ago we bought a little computer armoire
so that I didn't have to look at the perpetual mess of
cords and things. (you know of what I speak!) Well, in
the process of putting our computer back together my
poor husband dropped our external hard drive aka:
all of our pictures! He's done several things to try to recover
our files but to no avail. He even looked into sending it in
to a data recovery business...well, it's not pretty. Basically
we can shed a few tears and just forget about the last
2 1/2 years of our lives (we had back up cd's through 2006)
or we could cough up a thousand bucks.

Needless to say things are a little glum around here. Poor
James feels like crap and apologizes all the time. Of course
it's all his fault and I make him own up to it by bringing me
ice cream every day.

(For those of you who don't know me that last statement was
absolutely sarcastic!)

So, while you're reading this uplifting little tale, be glad that
you all have not procrastinated backing up your pictures!

Chicken Pox: a true story

While I should be mopping my floor and unloading
my ever full dishwasher, I thought I would waste some
time online.

Yesterday, I discovered the most bizarre thing (well,
not the MOST bizarre). My baby, after being inoculated
no less, developed a lovely case of the Chicken Pox! I took
her in to her pediatrician to make sure and they told me it
was a yepper! Actually it was kinda funny because they
snuck me in the back door, made sure the hallways were
cleared, and then shoved us in a room. No waiting rooms
for the plague riddled baby! I even got to park in the
physicians parking area, which isn't much bigger than my
driveway but still sort of special....I guess. And seriously,
the whole ordeal lasted maybe 10 minutes. Can you imagine
10 minutes at the doctor's office?! The thought never would
have crossed my mind. Ah the perks of having a baby with
a contagious disease.

Trip in a nutshell and other ramblings

So, almost all of our pictures from our trip are on
the laptop but I've been feeling particularly lazy
about transferring them over. For some reason I have
terrible blogger's block with no pics. It's probably just
because my brain is like a sieve. With out reminders
I'm useless! Ah well. I'll do my best.

We had an awesome trip! For those of you who weren't
aware, James and I surprised his parents. They had no
idea we were coming. I really worried about it but he
was completely certain that they would love it. I've
decided that a person just needs to trust their spouse
when it comes to their family because he was right!
They were thrilled and it was so much fun to see the
"what the" looks on their faces. We sorted through a
bunch of ideas on how to storm his parents' house and
settled on having the kids ring the door bell. Martin
(James' dad) opened the door and was like," hey come
on in"....and then the "what the" face. It was classic.
I got a video of it but it doesn't do the moment justice.

We made a few stops that I felt were VERY important.
1. Ottovio's (Best darn Italian EVER!!)
2. Day Murray Music
3. IKEA (Oh how I'd waited for the moment...it was better
than I could have ever imagined!!)
4. the E.R (Madeline....what can I say more?)

Really the best part of the trip was getting to visit into all
hours of the night with everyone. I think that's what I miss
the most. I really love my other family and I'm glad that they
sort of like me too. :) I'll try to get less lazy and post some
pictures, but I'm not going to promise anything.

Oh, and on a completely different note, I just have to tell you
all (because I promised James that I would) that my brain has
taken a turn for the worst! The other day we were on a date
and I was driving...scary I know. Anyway, so I ran this stupid
stop sign that really didn't even need to be there, and James
was like: " Hey, did you see that stop sign?" And me in all my
glory said, "No, what did it say?"  "?....uh...stop?"

Yah, my grey matter has shrunk just a few too many times!!!
Wish me luck.

Drum roll please..............

Well folks, the verdict is in and I'm pleased
to say that I am indeed pregnant. Surprised?
Yah I am too. I also am half way through this
thing and it still hasn't really sunk in for me.
Weird. Okay, no more beating around the bush.
We're adding another man child to our lovely
brood! Which is good because I've already bought
4 boy outfits! So, hooray for Spencer. :)

Blue or Pink.....or Yellow

I get to go in for my ultra sound tommorow morning
and I thought it would be fun to have one of those poll
thingys. I've never had a poll thingy so this is the perfect
opportunity right? Oh and by the way those aren't the
names we're going to use....just in case you were
wondering.
