Etsy made my dreams come true!

Ok so the title of this post is completely and utterly full of cheese.
Oh well. I guess you'll just have to put up with me. So I've always
had this terrible habit of always wanting to try new hobbies. The
problem is that I never really stick with one. So I'm not that great
at any one thing. A lady at church once told me that she considers
herself a dabbler. I've decided that that's exactly what I am. I,
Amanda Pendley, am a dabbler.

Well A couple of months ago I started browsing Etsy. (Those of
you who are not familiar with Etsy need to become aquainted
because it is an awsome site!!) So I created a profile with the
intent of selling some...uh..stuff. Unfortunately it took quite awhile
to decide what to sell. I ended up settling on finger puppets. I'm also
working on a doll pattern. So I'm mostly going to stick with toys.
It's been alot of fun and yesterday I made my first sale! Woohoo!!

So that's it. I'm officially an Etsy store owner and it's been so much
fun. I'm not nearly as seasoned as most of the folks on there. I mean
I only have one thing listed right now, but still.

Those are so dang cute! What do you mean you're not great at anything, you're great at tons of stuff! I wish I could suck your talent out of you and have it for my own. Anyway, James really should try that neti pot. I should have mentioned that it's supposed to wash out allergens and bacteria, so it's a good idea to do it, like, say when you finish mowing the lawn or feel a cold coming on. And you have to be consistent, so do it at least every morning. They're only fifteen bucks at Wal-greens.

I searched for your puppets on Etsy... but couldn't find you. How could I find yours?

A-Dorable! Great job! I wonder if dabbling would increase MY talents? I haven't seen you be unsuccessful yet! Congratulations!

P.S. I don't know Kami, but I second her opinion on the neti-pot, they make a world of difference! We love some sinus cleansing around here... how else could we stand to live in Tennessee!

First of all I wanted to say thanks for your comment on my post. You hit the nail on the head and I didn't even realize that was part of my problem. I know all about free agency but I always find myself asking what I could have done better for that person. You know. So thanks!!
Next- Those finger puppets are so dang cute!! You are one of the most talented people I know. YOu may dabble, but as far as I can see you are great at EVERYTHING you try. I just might have to get some myself. HAve fun with your little biz, and let us know how it goes.

Amanda,
YOU, my friend are NOT a dabbler! You just happen to be fabulous at everything you try, get bored with being so fabulous and try a new challenge! You are my Martha Stewart, minus the whole "prison thing."
LOVE the finger puppets!
