Here we go!

I really shouldn't even be on the computer right now

but I had to post this little tidbit. Yesterday my sweetie

came home for lunch and informed me that we should 

drive to Utah for spring break which just so happens to 

start on Monday. A little stunned the only thing I could 

say was, "yah, sure!" "Oh and by the way if we leave on

Thursday Evelyn would only miss one day of school"....um

yah, that would be in 2 days!! Insanely enough, we're going 

to do it. So I guess I'm crazy but I'm really excited not so

much about the driving for 32 hours but the other part.

It's going to be great! Hooray for spontaneity! Wish me luck.

Mommy the computer addict

This, apparently, is what my child sees me do all the
day long. The figure on the top is me nestled in my
computer chair. And the happy little lady on the bottom
is none other than my Caitlin-bug. What a budding artist
she is....and kind of mean too!

Most days I tend to be fairly busy. I take Ev to school, clean
(although I don't know why I bother), feed children, talk to
husband, and so on and so forth. And then every once in a
while I have a crazy taste of comprehension. Like just now.
I was looking through some pictures and realized," Good
grief!! I'm married and have four and a half kids!"

Often I feel very overwhelmed with all of the demands of
the day to day stuff, but I've got to say that I'm so blessed.
I look at my children and they are healthy, happy and
crazy and I just don't know know what I would do without
them.

And then I look at my hubby who takes care of me
and puts up with all my eccentric, hormonal, goofiness and
I'm so grateful that I got my claws on him before anyone else
did! I mean he went to Arby's last night because I was sure I
couldn't live without a French Dip sub. What a great guy!

Thanks to all of you that read the ramblings of my less than
exciting life. You're wonderful!

Feeling a little crafty

Yesterday I was feeling a little crafty. Which basically
means that I ignored my housework and my children to
do some sewin'. My friend had a link to a cute crafty blog.
I stole it and have been scheming up projects ever since.

Here is my finished...uh thing. It actually was really simple
to create. I decided that I'm going to keep it. I may even
use it tonight when I go on my girls' night out date. Woo hoo!

Snowless = Creative

I can't even tell you how disappointed my kids have
been about not getting any snow.

But hey, who needs snow when you've got a plateful
of mashed potatoes?! Behold our wintery friend.

My Baby the Monkey

Madeline has taken greatly to climbing. She terrifies me
to say the least. Bathroom sink, top dresser drawers, table.
She may have short person syndrome. Maybe climbing
gives her some sort of power. I don't know! I've been short
all my life and have always been afraid of heights. I guess
she's just a monkey that enjoys watching her mom have
daily heart attacks.

Large Car for a Large Fam

Since we're officially going to be in the ginormous family 

category James and I decided to finalize it by purchasing 

this little....I mean large vehicle. James, being his anti social

self, even let me wear the pants and haggle for it. I've decided

after careful evaluation of the past two days that I HATE 

buying cars!!! All the run around crap that I had to go through

was not a choice experience. I do feel like I got an alright deal 

on the thing but I was pretty much a basket case 2 days ago. 

Oh well, I'm glad to be done with the process and finally be 

able to enjoy the fruits of my labors....if you will.
