For real

I love real pictures. Not the ones you get in a studio. Ones
that show life the way it really is. Every once and awhile
I get a picture of my kids that just melts my heart. This is
one of them. This is Wyatt. He's nonchalant, messy, and good.
He just does his thing....like smoking sidewalk chalk. He's cool
like that. And I'm glad.

Slacking...but not really

So, this blog has suffered from gross neglect.
I can assure you (whomever may still be reading)
we're alive and well. To prove it to you I'm photo
bombing this post with all the great things we do
around here!
We've been stretching with dad

gluing and glittering hearts
stuffing our faces
doing something....great
showing off our huge muscles
reading Harry Potter...ALOT
playing wii
snuggling
birthday partying
baptizing
and doodling!!

No Shave November

It's "No shave November". That's right. No shaving.
For a month. And James has some very festive growth
going on.

In a light hearted conversation with our son, he was told,
"you need to shave that hair off your chin. It makes you
look like a dwarf. And a dork."

Avast me matey! It's a girl pirate?

Halloween on Sunday means that it is inadvertently on
Saturday instead. I did 5 mini posts because I'm lazy and
wanted to load my pictures from Picasa and Picasa won't
let me load 10 pictures. After all that posting I'm thinking
it wasn't really the lazy way.

What happened to my little girl? She looks old in these
pictures. And what's with her wanting to be a pirate and
not a ballerina or something girly? I just don't know.
Any way, enjoy the rest of the pictures!

The Blood sucker

She was actually telling me a couple of weeks ago
that blood tastes like candy....um gross. But oh well.

Are you terrified yet? Me too.

The "Princess" Bee

Because I didn't have the time or the energy to
make 5 costumes this year we recycled this costume.
The only way we could get her to wear it was to tell
her that she was a "princess bee". Anything princess
is a go.

Ramblings and a happy un-birthday

I've been a blog slacker. I'm kind of "meh"about it
right now. My poor brain is on overload lately with
things like diapers, my Etsy shop, fabric, weddings,
Christmas, Halloween costumes, church stuff, my dining table,
finishing the basement, landscaping my really overgrown yard....
I could probably go on and on but I think you probably get it.

On a side note, I missed a birthday! Our Wyatt boy turned
one on August 18th....ya, I'm super late. The cake was good
though. Good enough to wear! And I think he wears it well.

It's weird how fast time seems to fly. It seems like only yesterday
that I went on a crazy pregnant rampage and insisted on being
seen so that I could be induced. That poor receptionist! Good
thing for her I went into labor that day. I should have known
when I went into a frenzy with the broom sweeping my porch and
side walk. Who does that?! Well, needless to say I got what I asked
for. Another perfect little bundle complete with 10 fingers and 10 toes.
I'm grateful everyday that he came to join our crazy family and even
more grateful for the joy he's brought to our home. Love you buddy!!

Angry citizen

K, my James just sent me this disgusting article. I don't
normally publish my politics here (or anywhere unless
I can corner people) but this administration makes me
want to puke! Seriously, my belly, it feels like gross!
If your interest is peaked, google: Slavery bill H.R. 5741.
On that happy note, have a great day!

just some randomness that is me

I love the red squiggly line that pops up when I'm typing.
It reminds me how long I've been out of school. That's kind
of a crazy thought....I've been out of high school for almost
10 years. The big 3-0 is sneaking up ever so quietly. I don't
know if I'm ready for that kind of commitment.

a hair post

I don't think I've ever posted a haircut before....
Well, here's one now! I carved some bangs into
my before mentioned, "hated" hair cut. I think
it's growing on me. I think I want to color it now....
We'll see.

meh...

I'm tired. My house is a mess, I have a lesson to plan,
and I hate my new hair-cut. Why can't life go back to
bed so that I can have a break?

summer started early this year

They have the chicken pox.....Whaaa?! School isn't
officially out until the 7th but summer started early.
The strangest part of this story: Evelyn was vaccinated
and Caitlin actually HAD the chicken pox at 2 months.
The kids' doctor just told me that we have weak genes.

They are both pretty bummed to not get to join in on the
"schools almost out" festivities. No one would ever have
known that they have the CP but I felt like I should probably
be a resposible parent and keep them away from people.
So I guess they'll have to settle on jumping it up outside.

You want to know the sad part of the story? Wyatt
is too young for the vaccine.
